We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented QA Manual Tester to join our team. As a QA Manual Tester, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of our web applications through comprehensive manual testing. You will work closely with developers, designers, and project managers to identify, report, and resolve issues, ensuring that our applications meet the highest standards of quality.
Responsibilities:
- Test Planning and Design: Review project requirements and specifications to create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
- Manual Testing: Perform thorough testing of web applications, including functional, regression, usability, and exploratory testing. Validate that all user stories and requirements are met.
- Bug Identification and Reporting: Identify, document, and track defects using issue tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla). Work closely with development teams to reproduce and resolve issues.
- Cross-Browser and Cross-Platform Testing: Test web applications across multiple browsers and devices to ensure consistent behavior and performance.
- Test Documentation: Maintain accurate records of testing activities, including test cases, test results, and defect logs. Provide clear and concise feedback on issues.
- Collaboration: Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand project goals and ensure timely delivery of quality products.
- Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in test process improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of testing strategies and best practices.
Requirements and skills
- Proven Experience: At least [X] years of experience in manual testing of web applications.
- Strong Understanding of Testing Methodologies: Solid knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with a strong focus on identifying even the smallest issues.

- Browser and Device Knowledge: Experience testing across various browsers (e.g., Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) and devices (e.g., desktop, tablet, mobile).
- Documentation: Proficiency in creating detailed test cases, test plans, and test scripts.
- Bug Tracking Tools: Experience with bug tracking and test management tools such as JIRA, Bugzilla, or TestRail.
- Basic Web Technologies: Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and how they interact within web applications.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and report issues.
Preferred Skills
- API Testing: Experience with manual testing of RESTful APIs using tools like Postman or SoapUI.
- Responsive Design Testing: Understanding of responsive design principles and experience testing responsive web applications.
- Agile Experience: Experience working in an Agile or Scrum development environment.
- Basic SQL Knowledge: Ability to write and execute basic SQL queries to validate data integrity.
- Security Testing: Familiarity with common web application security vulnerabilities (e.g., XSS, CSRF) and testing techniques.
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
